"The President" was the name of an AI program created by the Educational Protocol. He's played by Lee Newton.
Designed by the Educational Protocol in order to maintain the illusion that they were a legitimate government organization, the President governed Project History via video feed sent to Agent H, who believed the program to be the real President of the United States.
In AP: Origins , the President orders Agent H to catch Greg Klusacek after he escapes Project History imprisonment. As the search continues to yield no results, the President gets angrier, threatening to fire Agent H. After Greg becomes the AP History Guy and is seemingly killed, the President and Agent H agree to send an undercover agent into Ballston Spa High School, to take out the AP History Guy should he ever appear. In a scene after the credits, the President sends Agent H a message, telling him he discovered HSX has unusual effects when it becomes radioactive.
During AP: Apocalypse, Tom reveals the truth about the program to Agent H, having uncovered the reality after the fall of the government. Agent H is shocked and devastated by the news. Later, the Second AP History Guy finds the program in Agent H's old office, which had degenerated and become glitchy.
In AP: Ultimatum, the AP History Guy manages to download the remnants of the program from the Project History warehouse and give it to Mike Dame. Wanting to discover the truth behind the Protocol, Mike Dame hacks into the program and discovered from its coding timeline that Eric was the true creator of the AI and the organization.
In the AP universe, President Newton is the real name of the President of the United States, in office since at least 2007 - a headline mentioning him is briefly seen on the news in AP: Apocalypse. It is unknown what happened to him after the fall of the government in 2011.
